I won’t easily forget my feeling of extreme elation, when I discovered that ‘Billy The Kid’ had made it into the top 10 on the Blues Charts @ http://www.peoplesound.com in the late nineties. I watched as it climbed up into the top 5, and was bounced down from number 3 by ‘Living On A Prayer’ by Bon Jovi.
“What was a supergroup doing jousting with unknown indies on a virtual cyber chart?” I thought to myself. On the other hand, I felt quite stoked that a song I had written and recorded with Bruce Taylor for my first demo CD – “Highway Sixty One” with just an old guitar was getting some action with an outfit that took millions of dollars to fuel! :rofl:
