When I heard president Obama struggling with the parables of Jesus, I wondered why. I mean he’s had considerably more education than I have, so why would he not be able to understand them. I am sure he could have got a commentary by a well known scholar and cleared that up immediately. What is there about the parables of Jesus that makes them so hard to get into? Apart from the one’s that were explained, they conceal deep truths about what I shall tentatively call ‘Kingdom Life’

The other morning (though I am not entirely sure when dreams are meant to happen) I dreamed that I was in a place (a room) with my mother (who is no longer part of this temporary city). Her eyes were sweet and clear and she was teaching me about the parables of Jesus. Though I cannot remember which one’s she was explaining, I remember asking her two questions referring to two other parables, to which she acknowledged there relevance and then the dream ended.
So keep your thumb between the pages while I go to prayer and study. This is the introduction and I will put up a list of titles, where you can link to each study as I get done.
Peace,
Eric
