Brahman & Jesus ?

It’s a big question and I’ve only really seen one website (from a scholarly Christian perspective) which is dedicated to understanding it. Dr. J. Glenn Friesen’s website ‘Christian Nondualism’ totally RO__________________CKS!

Before we get all warm and fuzzy and nestle up to any deities with eight or more arms, like Vishvamata the consort of Kalachra, I’d like you to press play (on the video below this picture).

Brahman & Jesus ?

Forum Addiction (F.A) is a very hard habit to break! (Well, that has been my experience) Though I managed to arrange a banning from Theology Web Campus (which solved that problem), I haven’t had the resolve to end a six year relationship with Apologetics Discuss (A.D) (so that I can get on with my life). Yesterday as I was watching the two videos (below), I finally got the break in the form of a final post titled: Everything is spiritual, or everything is broken ? The reason I posted it up (as a final post) was to address one of the ideas expressed by Robert Perry in my previous blog entry: ~ ‘Thus, just as he asks us to “enter” God’s kingdom, a state in which we live under God’s unconditional love and care and are immune to the brutalities of this world, so he himself seems to have entered this state.’ ~

“Jesus how is your spiritual life?”
“Huh? What? What do you mean?”
According to Rob Bell, ‘….to label one area spiritual is to label other areas not spiritual. It’s absolutely foreign to the world of the Scriptures. It’s absolutely foreign to the world view of Jesus. The assumption is that you are a fusion of two realms; and a human being occupies a totally unique place in the higher universe …. Everything we do as an integrated being 100% physical, 100% spiritual …. Every act is a spiritual act, it’s whether or not you’re aware of the implication of what you are doing.’

New Hope Calvary pastor refers to this song and others by Bob Dylan, drawing parallels between them and Biblical insights.

He says, “We are dependant human beings and helpless in some circumstances.”

Everything is spiritual, or is everything is broken? Bring it on A.D! (Apologetics Discuss)

The next video (an edited lecture) by Professor Vishal Mangalwadi touches very lightly on the subject, but I shall keep my eyes open for something a bit more detailed. (Obviously his books would be the best way to go, for he explores the philosophies inherent in many of India’s primary teachers. )

‘My problem is that a lot of the stress related sickness that are supposed to be cured by Yoga – those sicknesses should not be there in the first place – that stress shouldn’t be there in the first place – if instead of flexible bodies – or before pursuing flexible bodies – seriously as you pursue a fexible body – you begin to pursue a flexible soul. The problem with the West – the Post-Modern West – why there is so much stress and stress related sicknesses is that you have flexible bodies in infexible minds and souls’ (Professor Vishal Mangalwadi) Website/Forum : http://www.revelationmovement.com/
